Keystone View Company lantern slides, ca. 1892-ca. 1912.

This collection includes 218 glass lantern slides depicting a wide range of subject matter. Each slide is approximately 3 1/4 x 4 inches. Slides are labelled with a numbering system and a short description. Slides mostly depict places of industry, including farms, quarries, textile mills, ports, and manufacturing plants, etc. Also included are places of architectural or historical significance and places of natural beauty. Different cultures are also depicted, including Native Americans, Mexicans, Eskimos, as well as immigrants arriving in the United States.
